Test Capabilities
Our Fareham base offers the widest range of test facilities for small gas turbines in the UK.

Test Bay 1
- Arriel 1 engine & modules and slave, full test capability. We are able to test stand alone modules, by building an engine using slave modules and components. Manually operated test cell.
Test Bay 2
- Arriel 1 and Astazou engine & modules and slave, full test capability. This test cell uses touch-screen and fly-by-wire technology alongside automatic data acquisition. The bed can be adjusted in the future to suit other engine types if required.
- full test capability.
Test Bay 3
- Hawk & Jaguar Air Producer
- Hawk 200 Auxiliary Power Unit
(Complete data acquisition and control system operating with Morphee 6.1)
Test Bay 4
- Air test facility: Two air test systems running off a nominal 10 bar air supply. One is a cold air high mass air flow rate system, approx 1.2 Kg/sec, used to test differential pressure valves. The second is a low mass air flow (up to 0.5 kg/sec) hot air test system, running off an electric air heater capable of 0-450 degrees C, used to test:
Hawk & Jaguar ATS - JAS 39 (Saab Grippen) auxiliary and emergency power system
(Complete data acquisition and control system operating with Morphee 6.1)
Test Bay 5
- Two air test options: A nominal 10 bar g air system, capable of 1.2 Kg/sec @ 0-600 degrees C, used to test:
- EF 2000 (Typhoon) air turbine starter motor
- Hawk Jaguar ATS
- Rafale ATS
A nominal 30 bar g air system capable of 20 Kg/sec @ 0-600 degrees C, used to test:
- VC-10 ATS
- Nimrod ATS
- Marine Tyne ATS
- Marine Olympus ATS
- RB199 test bed ATS
(Complete data acquisition and control system operating with Morphee 6.1)
Hydraulic and oil pump test rigs (6 off)
