NDT Technician

We have an opportunity for an NDT (Non Destructive Testing) Technician within the Repair Centre.

The main responsibilities of this role will be :
• To ensure that all written practices and procedures are strictly adhered to and that the highest quality standards are met.
• To enhance working areas and environment using all continuous improvement tools.

In your main day to day activities you will be responsible for carrying out Eddy Current, MPI/FPI and Ultrasonic Inspections to ASNT level 2 standard.

The right candidate will be expected to have the following experience:
• A minimum of 500 hours experience in Eddy Current inspection to ASNT level 2 standard
• Have knowledge/experience of the aerospace environment.
• Be able to follow written instructions and to work without supervision.
• Be PC literate i.e. MS Word and Excel.

In addition to the above, MPI/FPI and Ultrasonic inspection to ASNT level 2 standard qualification as well as significant continuous improvement experience would be advantageous.

We also require reliability, flexibility and a willingness to learn. You will enjoy working as part of a team and completing tasks within laid down timescales.

SUPPLIER QUALITY ASSURANCE LEADER

We have an opportunity for a Supplier Quality Assurance Leader to work within the Quality Department.

The key responsibilities are to:-
• •Ensure that products and services meet the requirements of customers, quality standards and airworthiness authorities.
• Work in accordance with HSE legislation, the Company Operating System, policies and procedures.

• Provide leadership, advice and support to all areas of responsibility by embedding TURBO+ to continuously improve quailty performance by:-
• Coaching and supporting TMUK’s production supplier base to adopt a policy of “stop at first defect” and using the defect Reporting and Turbo+ systems to record and resolve all issues.
• Performing effective audits and aiding timely close out of actions.
• Champion and deliver Human Factors training where TMUK’s EASA part 145 approval is extended to key suppliers.

The main activities of this role are as follows:
• Point of contact for communication of quality issues including PDCA’s and quality KPI’s within area of Supplier QA and with TMF through external weekly and monthly reports.
• Management of Supplier Records.
• Full control of Defect Reports.
• Conduct supplier visits as necessary.
• Conduct supplier audits as per schedule.
• Approve new suppliers, maintain the supplier register and approvals.
• Coaching and supporting of Turbo+ to problematic suppliers.
• Assist in the sourcing of alternative suppliers with Purchasing.
• Analysis of supplier data—calculation of quality ratios and parts per million defect opportunities.
• Provide supplier rating assessments.

For this role we require:
• Relevant qualifications/experience within aerospace disciplines.
• Experience of aviation disassembly/inspection/assembly processes and understanding of airworthiness standards and requirements.
• Experience in aerospace processes and procedures
• PC literacy and ability to use software tools including Ennov 5.
• Interpretation of Technical Manuals and instructions.
