Microturbo Products
Microturbo's first product in 1961 was the starting system for the Mirage 1 jet fighter. It was soon designing a range of low-to-medium power gas turbine systems which, today, make up three product lines:
-
Starting Systems and Auxiliary Power Units for fixed and rotary-wing aircraft
-
Turbojet engines for missiles, target drones, UAV and UCAV
-
Ground Auxiliary and Ground Power Units.
As markets expanded around the world, Microturbo Limited (MTL) was founded in 1973 to service the UK market and, in particular, to build and overhaul the starting system fitted to the Franco-British Jaguar fighter.
Some 30 years later, Turbomeca UK provides industrial and repair facilities to support Microturbo products and has gained considerable experience in its markets. It now offers a complete range of services in manufacture, repair & overhaul, inspection, and test of products. The company's products are present on a variety of platforms including the Hawk, Jaguar, Eurofighter Typhoon, the Falconet 2000 target drone and Stormshadow / SCALP EG stand off missiles
Microturbo activities are supported by industrial and repair facilities in France, the USA, Australia and the UK.
