Turbomeca UK Limited is committed to ensuring that employees and others that may be affected by the company’s activities are protected, so far as reasonably practicable, from risks to health and safety and provision made for their wellbeing. The company is also committed to minimise its impact on the environment by the efficient use of energy, resources and the prevention of pollution.
Turbomeca UK Limited performs maintenance repair and overhaul of small and medium gas turbines and production of new parts and assemblies, for the aerospace industry. A Services group provides support, leadership and control.
This policy applies to the whole of Turbomeca UK Limited and is intended to support and complement the SAFRAN Group Health, Safety and Environmental Policy which can be found within the Company Operating System under the heading of “Company Policy”.
The C.E.O. is directly accountable for providing a safe and healthy workplace, avoiding adverse impacts to the environment and the community in which we do business. The C.E.O. delegates responsibility for implementing the HSE policy to the HR Director and other service directors, operations and departmental managers. Plans are established and tested for responding to potential emergencies to prevent injuries, spills and releases. Within each business unit employees and representatives from key areas of that business will assist in highlighting issues and risks, by the implementation of continuous improvement programmes and the timely completion of actions.
As a minimum, the company’s arrangements fully satisfy current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation. This is achieved by maintaining a HSE Management System which is accredited to the standards of OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004.
The company is committed to communicating HSE issues internally and externally, providing adequate training and resources to ensure that all employees have the necessary skills and equipment to work safely and avoid adverse impacts on the environment.
The company will ensure sufficient internal and external resources are made available to identify and manage the HSE risks associated with the company’s operations.
The Management Review activity will monitor and review performance against this policy to ensure effective control of risk and progressive improvement of the HSE system.
A copy of this HSE policy will be issued to all employees on joining the company, and is also available on the company’s web site within the Company Operating System under the heading “Company Policy”.
This policy will be reviewed and revised as appropriate to take into account any changes in circumstances or legal requirements.
