Supporting our military
We are proud to support all three of Britain’s armed forces, as well as Irish and French air arms. Our engines power Gazelle, Puma and (through partnerships with Rolls-Royce) Apache and Merlin helicopters. The latter two types are operational in Afghanistan and the Puma is currently being upgraded with a new Turbomeca engine, prior to deployment in 2012.
To support these engines, our Front Office interfaces with the Joint Helicopter Command, based in Wiltshire, and also with Royal Navy squadrons in Somerset and Cornwall and the RAF in Hampshire.
Products manufactured at Fareham can be found on Hawk/AJT, Aermacchi M346, Jaguar, Eurofighter Typhoon, Falconet 2000 target drone and Stormshadow / SCALP EG stand off missile.
